11.2.2010 ( Advanced ) (Writing practice - index)

I cannot resist to tell you about my adventure with Vodafone. As I told you I was fed up of Telefónica, so I decided to change my land line to Vodafone. Two weeks ago I phoned to Vodafone (their phone number is 1444) and made all the arrangements for the change. They told me that they would send me a contract and a new telephone (completely free) in a few days and that, as soon as I received the contract, I had to sign it and send it back to them.

Ten days later, as I hadn't received anything, I phoned them again, to ask about the state of my order. The first person that picked up the phone, told me that my question had to be answered by another department. He transferred my call. I waited for about 10 minutes (listening the typical annoying music) and as nobody seem to be available to answer the phone I hung up. In the afternoon I phoned again with exactly the same result. One day later I tried again, and again all I got was 10 minutes of free music. I though that it was impossible to get an answer through the 1444 and I looked for another alternative. I looked in the web site of Vodafone and I found an e-mail to post questions, so I though it would be a good idea to send them my query.

One day later I received an e-mail from Vodafone, they told me that they couldn't help me because they hadn't the information and sent me again to the number 1444, where, according to them, I could get the answer to my question. I breathed deeply three times and called again to the number 1444:

I spent 25 minutes listening to music and being transferred from one department to other, I spoke with 4 people (two times with one of them), and I didn't get any answer, so finally I hung up (I sure they wanted me to hang up).

After this nasty experience I lodge a complaint to Vodafone. Having in mind that I have already lodge a complaint in Telefónica, is there any serious telephone company working in Spain? I don't think so.

My suggestions...

I just have to tell you to tell you about my adventure with Vodafone As I told you I was fed up of Telefónica Telefonica so I decided to change my land line to Vodafone. Two weeks ago I phoned Vodafone (their phone number is 1444) and made all the arrangements for the change. They told me that they would send me a contract and a new telephone (completely free) in a few days and that, as soon as I received the contract, I had to sign it and send it back to them.

I looked in the web site of Vodafone and I found an e-mail to post questions, so I thought it would be a good idea to send them my query.

One day later (or 'the next day') I received an e-mail from Vodafone, they told me that they couldn't help me because they hadn't got the information and sent me again (if you want to emphasise that you're getting really browned off, 'once again') to the number 1444, where, according to them, I could get the answer to my question. I breathed deeply three times and called 1444 again

I spent 25 minutes listening to music and being transferred from one department to another, I spoke (or 'speaking') with 4 people (twice with one of them), and I didn't get an answer, so finally I hung up (I sure they wanted me to hang up).

After this nasty experience I lodged a complaint against Vodafone. Bearing in mind that I have already lodged a complaint against Telefónica, is there any serious telephone company working in Spain? I don't think so.
