It is incredible how companies try to get you as a client and when you have paid them they act as if they have nothing to do with you. For instance, that happened to me with the people who designed my wedding dress. They were so nice while they were making it. They were so nice… until I paid the dress. The dress tore up after the religious ceremony so I went there to complain. There were so unpleasant. And the owner didn’t appear to offer me some explanation!! In my opinion, post sale service is very important, mainly in those companies that survive thanks to word of mouth. I loved my wedding dress but, because of the treat I received I have never recommended the designer to my friends.

 

In other cases, such as phone companies, they call you a thousand of times till they capture you as a client. Then, it is nearly impossible neither to complain nor to stop being their client. When a client complains, these companies know it is a question of who is more patient. It is true that this companies have a telephone number you can phone to complain, or an address where you can mail a complaint letter. Calling the mentioned telephone is useless because nobody answers or maybe there is just an answering machine or somebody who does not offer a solution. On the other hand, if you write a letter, you must wait a long time until you find the response letter in your mail box. It is a useless response, of course. Then you write another letter. Then a third one. A year passes. Only with threats and lots of patience you can get something.

 

I recognise I don’t have the time and the patience to complain several times. But of course it depends on the money I am loosing. Then, I’d better have a good lawyer friend near me.
