Ventajas:
- cumple con los requisitos
- económica (para un viaje de hasta 62 días)
- se puede cancela (si no hay uso de la póliza) y sujeto a una retención de US$25 / euros 25 (2009) si la prima sin utilizar supera US$ 15
Inconvenientes:
- la cobertura de un año quiere decir que se puede hacer varios viajes, pero que cada viaje no puede superar 90 días
- opción recomendad cuando el viaje es más de 62 días ... (también sin límite de cobertura médica, sin franquicias y hasta 12 meses de duración para el viaje).
Advantages of Schengen travel insurance:
- it's cheap (especially for a trip of up to 62 days)
- it complies with regulations
- both Schengen and Single Trip can be cancelled, if the client has not had any claims. Please, note that there will be charged a cancellation fee, which, in both cases,is USD 25.00(EUR 25.00). Also, there has to be minimum USD 15.00 left of the premium for payment.
Disadvantages:
- The 365-days policy is valid for trips with maximum duration of 62 days per trip only, and the overall insurance amount is 30,000 EUR per trip.
- Recomendation if the trip is over 90 days (also without deductibles, up to 12 months' duration and unlimited medical cover)
