A. Please take a look at the website of the Spanish Insurance authorities (you can check that 'Mainly Health Plans SL' is there - registered number AJ0052

1. Go to website of Spanish insurance authority http://www.dgsfp.meh.es/

2. Click on 'Información sobre el sector'

3. Click on 'Registros públicos'

4. Click on 'Punto único de información de mediadores de seguros y reaseguros'

5. In the right hand box (next to 'Clave inscripción registro') type AJ0052 (and then click on 'buscar')

6. Click on the text at the bottom 'Mainly Health Plans SL' and you will see the information.

(If this is too complicated, you can ask me to send you an attachment with the information!)

I also have civil liability insurance in compliance with Spanish insurance regulations
DGSFP 23.9.08 (BOE 236 of 30.9.08) these amounts are updated regularly by the Spanish authorities.

Suma asegurada / sum insured euros
Por siniestro / per claim 1.120.200
Por anualidad / yearly 1.680.300

I don't have insurance for handling money as all payments are collected by the insurance companies I work with from the client's account and made by the insurance companies to the account (this is also applicable to the other insurance companies I work for). Insurance agents who collect premium payments (normally in cash) must have that insurance cover, but as I operate almost 100% through the internet I'm not interested in handling money...

In local publications or on the internet, I have seen UK / foreign-based agents, agencies or brokers offering insurance in Spain. How do I know if they are registered and authorised to do so by the Spanish authorities?
